#ENOUGH and its supporters seize this moment in history to express the enduring frustrations, anxieties, and wounds from sudden gun violence that traumatize individuals, families, and communities long after the sounds of shots and news media cycles silence. In the words of Pulitzer-prize winning author and playwright Toni Morrison, reprinted from the Preface to #ENOUGH, “This is precisely the time when artists go to work. There is no time for despair, no place for self-pity, no need for silence, no room for fear. We speak, we write, we do language. That is how civilizations heal.”
